The Operations Manager will actively engage with the team to ensure all operations under your direction are striving to achieve performance in the areas of safety, environmental and overall job quality.
The Role:
Reporting to the Managing Director Canada and the International NDT Manager, you will be responsible for covering the following areas:
Preparing business plans to achieve annual budgets for NDT Services
Implementing best practices, training, leadership development, resource support and allocation in conjunction with HR and Safety.
Executing a plan to improve margins, implement cross training, resource utilization, project management and budget planning
Ensuring systems and processes are in place to drive safety and environmental performance
Overseeing a team, delivering customer’s best practices including auditing of records and informal participation in employee qualification process.
Supporting the sales team ( matrix organization structure) by increasing revenue in the NDT business and developing win/win solutions for opportunities to maximize customer value and company’s financial success.
Working with managers, providing technical and operational leadership and guidance to group and problem solving
The Requirements:
University degree in Business Management, Engineering or a related field
7 – 10 years of experience in operations / management with direct reports, financial and operational responsibilities.
Proven time management, leadership, coaching and budgeting skills
NDT exposure a plus
Some travel will be expected
Proficiency in French
