Senior/Principal Fire Risk Assessor

Opportunity for a Senior/Principal Fire Risk Assessor to develop a compliance team as a discrete and distinctive part of our national Fire Team.
From concept to construction, our fire engineering expertise helps to optimise design and ensure complex buildings are compliant with regulations. Our team has extensive experience working on residential, commercial, industrial and high hazard process construction projects. This role (and team) will take ownership of projects after our designers have completed the stage 5 report.
We are looking for a person with entrepreneurial flair, commitment and passion who has the ability to effectively set up and run the team as a separate business enterprise. They will have the experience and contacts necessary to quickly establish this service as a viable proposition.
Responsibilities:
Ensure that the integrity of Fire Safety Strategies are upheld during the construction phase of design
Undertake commissioning of fire safety systems prior to building occupation
Complete pre and post FRA inspections ensuring continual Health and Safety Compliance and producing the reports
Provide specialist, technical advice and support in line with The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
Provide Fire Warden Training
Produce Fire Safety Management Plans
Produce evacuation plans.
Essential requirements:
Proven and previous experience in the completion of Fire Risk Assessments
Recognisable and professional qualification in fire safety management and fire risk assessments from creditable providers such as the Fire Protection Association, Fire Industry Association.
NEBOSH:
Full, maintained CPD log for fire prevention industry
Minimum Technician membership with the Institute of Fire Engineers
Recognised 3rd Party Accreditation with the Institute of Fire Engineers Register of Fire Risk Assessors or a similar industry related scheme is desirable
Ability to hold an autonomous role with excellent time management
High levels of literacy and written communication skills
Excellent verbal communication skills
Plan and organise workloads in order to meet timeframes for service delivery.
