Chronos Consulting’s client is a manufacturing company with a strong focus on investing in technology and driven to implement real digital shifts by mainly selling products e-commerce. With a growing presence across North America, we are seeking a Senior Network and Cybersecurity Leader to join a multidisciplinary team.
This is a home-based opportunity with occasional visits to the offices and sites close to Québec City and supporting partners and teams in Mexico, USA, and Canada
The Role:
The Network Administrator will have the opportunity to act as a facilitator to all the departments of the company in a solidly equipped environment with all the latest / greatest IT hardware and software.
Reporting to the IT Director based in Quebec City, you will be responsible for:
Providing advanced support and resolve incidents escalated by the Technical Support Team.
Acting as the international leader of all technological partners (Tier 1, 2 & 3, and external) for supporting, optimizing, and improving the environments. ( no direct reports but strong influencing & team-building skills needed for this role)
Participating in the manufacturing 4.0 connectivity’s and learning.
Architecting, designing, implementing, monitoring and helping to the corporate IT infrastructure, including, WAN, LAN, VPN, servers (virtual and physical) and phone systems.
Identifying the potential cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities, researching, suggesting and implementing the most cost-effective protection measures.
Developing, maintaining and testing disaster recovery plans.
Investigating root causes of problems to determine how we can improve our various environments
Recommending new technologies and implementing best practices.
The Requirements:
University or Technical degree, coupled with at least (5) years of experience in a similar role.
Ability to work effectively in a multi-tasking environment, with a demonstrated client focus capacity; negotiation, organizational, and planning skills with a high sense of accountability.
Expertise in problem analysis and strong analytical skills with an aptitude and good creativity to identify and solve problems.
Strong communication skills and the facility to effectively explain complex technical concepts.
An advanced level of French is mandatory
