Chronos Consulting’s client is a global beverage industry leader with a recognized worldwide brand. Due to expansion, we are seeking a Regional Operations Manager to add value to the business from the office in Panama City. Open to candidates who are interested in moving to Panama
The Role:
Reporting to the General Manager Panama, you will be responsible for managing all the aspects of the Supply Chain for Central America, Caribe, Andean Region, and other distribution partners’ subsidiaries, securing supply to the markets in a cost-effective and timely manner.
You will be responsible for:
Acting as a business partner in the growth of the business, guiding organized and optimizing processes in diverse aspects for the demand that includes procurement, planning, logistics, inventory, distribution, quality management, facilities, and services
Managing the relationship of Distribution Partners for sales, finance, marketing, and legal.
Expanding the business operations strategy and roadmap for the region, implementing and improving company standard operations processes in cooperation with the Headquarters.
Taking ownership as the lead operations representative for Sales & Operations planning meetings with unit managers for all distribution partner countries, in the LATAM region.
Ensuring that finished goods demand planning is executed with healthy local inventories, accomplishing that both (Business Unit Managers and Distribution Partners) agreed commercially with contractual agreements and volume plans for each market.
Driving the supply chain in the most efficient manner, providing the highest service levels to all parties, and maintaining close business relationships with external and internal distribution partners, providers, and suppliers.
Working directly with customer service teams as a main contact to warranting successful daily operational activity, and supporting local projects in the region to improve supply chain efficiencies.
The Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree, preferred in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related fields.
5+ years of experience in Operations, Planning, Logistics, and Customer Service for a similar management position in a multinational environment for consumer goods. (Beverage, food, or retail industry is an advantage).
Ability to remotely manage the supply chain operation.
Strong team player; driven and ambitious, relationship builder with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Possess strong negotiation and project management abilities.
Knowledge of SAP R/3, SAP APO, and BI is a plus.
Advanced level in all MS products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
An advanced level of English is required.
Based in Panama and open to travel 30%-40%
