Chronos Consulting's client is a face paced and dynamic B2B services organization with diverse Business Units  (Oil & Gas and Industrial Services), is seeking to fill a newly created Head of HR for the USA.
 
The Role:
 
Reporting to the US Managing Director, based in Houston and dotted line to Vice President of HR North America located on the East Coast, this is a newly created role in the organization due to growth and expansion and will be the most senior HR professional covering the USA.  The focus of this new position in the organization is to enhance sector competitiveness and achievement by facilitating employee attraction and retention, succession planning, professional development, business partnership and organizational assessment & development. You will serve  as counsel to Managing Director  in all HR matters with a 5,500 + US client population with 10  direct reports and responsible for:
 
  • Actively developing and institute value-added ideas, solutions, communications, etc. that will benefit the Company, the employee, and the HR Department.
  • Effectively managing specific HR functions including people and processes to maximize performance and efficiency.
  • Communicating the Company’s vision, mission, culture, values and strategies to employees and Management.
  • Assisting Management with the optimum organizational design to effectively deliver the Company’s services to its customers.
  • Coordinating with the compensation department to maintain up- to-date salary structure for all job categories to maintain attractiveness of the Company and enhance retention.
  • Driving results utilizing in-depth knowledge of the businesses and strategies.
  • Developing and implement job and career development programs for employees and management to assure the availability of key talent within the organization.
  • Targeting, highly efficient sourcing for recruitment of candidates and leading the Talent Acquisition team.
  • Supporting management  and employees in all HR and ER matters and  implement legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR function (e.g., OSHA, EEO, TEFRA, ERISA, and Wage & Hour). 
  • Overseeing the HRIS/Affirmative group to ensure timely execution of all employee changes as well as development of AAPs and effective management of all OFCCP Audits.
 
The Requirements:
 
 
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business or related field required. Master’s degree in these or related areas preferred with 15 - 20 years HR experience
  • Solid HR mastery of core HR areas of expertise including talent management and employee engagement.
  • Open-minded, multicultural and able to operate in global multinational and matrix environments with multi-industry HR leadership experience.
  • Knowledgeable and interested in HR trends and legislation changes that may critically impact the HR practices in the region.
  • High energy leader with the ability to foster a strong, team- oriented culture consistent with the Company’s values.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and to build bridges.
  • Focused on process optimization in the context of a strong results orientation.
  • Acquisition and / or Merger experience would be an asset
  • Ability to motivate, challenge, and lead a diverse organization by example.
