Associate Finance Controller will be responsible for ensuring timely sign off of books and promotion by the Region finance. He will be responsible for checking the Statement of profit and loss and balance sheet as at the end of each period. Also, the Associate Finance Controller will be responsible for preparation of consolidated Regional Sign off file post sign off of books during month end.

Further, Associate Finance Controller is responsible for assisting the Regional finance controller in preparing and presenting a Consolidated Review Report containing top priorities of focus for the Regional controlling team by reviewing the Area Balance Sheet reconciliation as at the given deadline. He shall also analyse the overall Exposure of the region based on his analysis and discuss with the Regional finance controller on the Exposure list for his Region.

In addition to the above, Associate Finance Controller should cross train with the other Associate finance controllers and ensure 100% back up for his team is available and all SLA are met at all the times.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure Fact HFM reconciliation is matching 100% while doing HFM upload during book close.

2. Ensure all technical cheques, validations, tax workings, provision for debtors workings are correctly made before signing off the regional books.

3. Ensure proper Re-charge of cost between areas happen within the region.

4. Ensure Inter-company balances differences are properly handled by the Areas and reconciled before sign off is done by the region finance.

5. Ensure all changes as proposed/announced by Damco Centre Finance are effected and cascaded properly.

6. Own and drive Revenue and cost transparency, audit and analysis

7. Own and be accountable for true and accurate Financial Statements.

8. Perform Risk assessment of Regional financial statement and evaluate the High risk areas and discuss at appropriate time with the Region and with Regional finance controller.

9. Participate in and support improvement projects

Technical skills:

Good IT skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Access)

Excellent Communication Skills with good English speaking knowledge.

Qualified Chartered Accountant (or) Qualified CWA/CS with strong technical background is an additional advantage.

Demonstrable track record in a similarly complex and challenging role.

Experience in logistics business and working knowledge in HFM would be an added advantage.
