Chronos Consulting's client is a global chocolate manufacturer with an expanding facility in American Canyon, California.
 
You will drive, direct strategies and objectives to ensure the achievement of the site's operational goals. 
 
 
The Role
 
Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will:
 
Lead and monitor all production activities within an assigned area or unit to maximize the use of the organization’s resources, and meet established production specifications and schedules (3 shifts).
 
Develop and implement manufacturing schedules, allocate labor, and utilize capital resources to maximize productivity. 
 
Set targets and create improvement plans in line with site priorities, drive performance against relevant department KPI’s, and lead and train on Safety and Quality.
 
Collaborate with cross-functional department heads to understand their current and future product needs, and integrate their requirements into existing manufacturing activities. 
 
Manage and prioritize production line maintenance, and downtimes to minimize disruptions to manufacturing schedules. 
 
Lead and develop 3 Supervisors with a total team size of 40 to 50,and responsible for various production activities such as assembly, machine operation, processing, treating, and packaging. 
 
 
The Requirements
 
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Food Science, or related area coupled with 5+ years of experience in a production environment including food manufacturing methods, process improvement programs, and procedures.
 
Technical background with business operations, collaborative and building skills.  
 
Proficient in Continuous Improvement, including CAPEX and Project Management experience.
 
Experienced in strategic planning and resource allocation.
 
Background in HACCP a plus. 
 
Strong communication, influencing, and time management skills.
 
Knowledgeable in MS Office Suite and SAP.
