BD and Sales Manager Baghdad

Our client is the leading manufacturer of electric power transmission and telecommunications cables and systems. Due to increasing potential in Iraqi market, they are currently looking for a: Business Development  & Sales Manager based in Baghdad or Basra.

Mission

  •                Locate or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities,
  •                Work independently keeping high level of self-motivation,
  •                Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments if any,
  •                Develop negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture/material opportunities with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals,
  •                Close new business deals by coordinating requirements according to company policies; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations,
  •                Work in respect of conditions defined with supplying unit / your direct manager in term of price, commercial condition,
  •                Manage the potential stock business to supply construction products to end clients or contractors and controlling the level of stock,
  •                Manage weekly report to send to company HQ or to the subsidiary who has specific interest into the sales done in the selected countries,
  •                Ensure proper management of potential stock located in the country confirming values of inventory and quantities,
  •                Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential,
  •                Enhance the organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments,
  •                Control the order received from clients and their proper execution from the subsidiary and follow up until the payment is received,
  •                Submit regular reports on the offer done, on the orders received and on the sales executed,
  •                Follow the priorities set by the manager, with a special focus on O&G and infrastructure projects,
  •                Potentially become responsible of the local branch / subsidiary of the Company and act respecting all local laws and in compliance with employer regulation,

Requirements

  • Engineering Degree in Electrical Departments is desired,
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in business development and sales focusing on infrastructure and Oil & Gas projects,
  • Demonstrated knowledge of large contract business and O&G players and a track history of commercial success,
  • Technical background jointly with the knowledge of electric industry,
  • Knowledge of MOE business and projects, telecom sector, FTTH and FTTA is welcomed,
  • Native Arabic speakers with excellent command of written and spoken English to express and explain in detail activities done and/or to interface with foreign clients and with the employer management team,
  • Highly analytical with problem solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal orientation with communication and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel often through Central and South Iraq.
  • Candidates located in Basra or Baghdad are preferred
