About the role:

My client is seeking to appoint an Operations Director, responsible for their Midlands region. The Operations Director lead the overall operational activities for the regional engineering business.

The successful candidate will manage the overall activity in the area to achieve the agreed budgets, turnover and profitability targets in the delivery of appropriate projects which support the business strategy / objectives.

Responsibilities:

- Provide the appropriate Health and Safety leadership to ensure that the safety first and foremost message is visible and alive throughout all activities relating to the regional area

- Managing the overall bid activity; in conjunction with the Business Development department and in line with Focus Win processes; to ensure professional, profitable, successful bids are conducted which provide agreed levels of turnover and profit for the area

- Provide leadership for the team prior to the successful bids for projects, the subsequent creation of the delivery team and their ongoing leadership in line with company standards and values

- Ensures that all operational activities are carried out in compliance with internal regulations and external legislation governing business operations

- To provide direction in the preparation of business plans and budgets based on the initial contract parameters and objectives, maintaining overall responsibility for successful budgeting against agreed plans

- To ensure that initial bid activity establishes an acceptable budget and profit level and follows the Focus Win processes

About you:

- Proven experience within operations / senior management within a building services organisation

- Large scale multiple delivery experience

You may have experience of the following: Commercial Director, Commercial Manager, Operations Manager, Operations Director, Maintenance, Health and Safety, H&S, Customer Service, General Manager, Construction, etc.
