Neurosurgery Clinical Account Manager Washington DC

 

Our client is a leader in non-invasive surgical therapy platforms.This clinical position will focus on neurosurgery applications
 
•Main responsibility is to work with install-base sites to grow commercial neuro utilization to drive site commercial success. 
 
•Achieve annual goals of number of treatments and revenues from the sites (service and disposables)
 
•Embed into customer environment and gain In-depth knowledge of their hospital operations, patient flow, financial model with focus on business and operational outcomes
 
•Be a trusted partner to customer (in clinical, technical and business aspects) with ability to influence and have a seat at customer table for driving program success
 
•Interface between site and marketing and PR teams to promote program and drive patient interest
 
•Work in close cooperation with sales, marketing and reimbursement teams
 
•Extensive travels (at least 70%)
 
Main Responsibilities: 
 
•The overall goal is to help customers grow the number of treated patients in order to reach business profitability while maintaining high clinical safety and efficacy.
 
•Specific goals
 
oAchieve annual treatment volume goals (including disposable and service sales)
 
oIncrease the number of treated patients in the designated focus sites
 
oIdentify, manage and grow referral base for treating center
 
oAttend treatments and provide clinical assistance and advice to physicians and medical staff prior, during, and after treatments to assure highest quality treatments
 
•Monitors and evaluates the activities on site including building relations with all stakeholders (from scheduler to administrator), understand local site dynamics that could impact service line growth.
 
•Identify and execute local opportunities for direct to patient education
 
•Collaborate with our Product manager, clinical specialists, reimbursement, service and marketing team to be the focal point of support to customer.
 
•Specific actions:
 
oIncrease the number of patients referred to center by leveraging analytical, relationship and marketing tools (dedicated web site, social media, PR…), focusing on patients and referring physicians, in close cooperation with marketing team
 
oEmbed deep in customer environment (internal and external business partners and stakeholders) and integrate deep into their operations to become a trusted advisor with ability to influence actions
 
oDevelop and share best practices with internal partners
 
oAttend treatments and assist physicians and medical staff in reaching successful clinical results and optimizing user experience
 
Build site toward clinical independence 
 
oProvide first-line technical assistance to resolve basic technical hurdles 
 
oDevelop and grow mutually beneficial customer relationships within and beyond the treatment team, including, but not limited to physicians, nurses and technicians, clinical and hospital administrators and staff
 
oBuild and maintain strong relationships with clinical and business thought leaders at site
 
 
 
Critical skills & qualifications
 
•B.Sc. Biomedical Engineering / Life Science / Other Engineering
 
•3-5 years as clinical / technical / operational support of advanced medical device systems in customer-facing hospital-focused role
 
•Experience implementing /project managing novel technology, techniques and/or devices is a plus 
 
•Scientific (BS, MS), technical (engineer) or clinical background (nurse, radiology technician) is a plus
 
•Relationship building and ability to influence department level and staff level in hospital setting (Chair of department, administrator, treating physicians, marketing, care coordinator, billing department etc.) is a MUST
 
•Executes with drive, self-motivation, accountability and reliability
 
•Critical thinking, ability to problem solve & creatively bring solutions to customer
 
 
Travel required:
 
This position requires extensive travel to: customer sites, trade shows, national organizations meetings, headquarters, payer organizations, internal meeting, etc.
 
Estimated annual travel - about 70% of the work time.
