Head of Development - South Wales
We are looking to expand our eCommerce team the Head of Development will plan and lead development projects, assisting propositions from the eCommerce Director from development stage through to UAT.
Responsibilities:
·Co-ordinate with the eCommerce Trading Teams, in-house developers and external Magento developers to setup projects, oversee development, monitor and review progress and perform UAT with the in-house teams.
·Co-ordinate business readiness tasks for deployment as well as assisting the trading team with execution of key developments in-house such as front-end developments including lookbooks and client-side technologies.
·Carry out and show and tells to the eCommerce team and wider businesses of developments and new features.
·Co-ordinate and test all developments thoroughly with the in-house team and ensuring criteria’s are met and existing propositions are not broken.
·Act as the eCommerce Systems contact for wider projects such as legislative changes, system improvements and upgrades.
·Scope and prioritise opportunities based on commercial value and customer experience.
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and expertise:
·Prior experience within a multi-channel and/or multi-proposition environment is highly desirable - the ability to understand and manage the complexities of a multi-channel and multi-proposition business.
Superb communication and experience of influencing at all levels of management
Technical knowledge of eCommerce and online marketing strategy is essential.
You will have prior experience working on website development projects using an agile methodology
Magento experience is necessary
