Chronos Consulting’s client is an IT Manufacturing Consulting firm.  We are seeking to hire a Senior ME Lead to gather and interpret user requirements into SAP ME configuration settings for existing business process and standardize it into SAP provided processes. This is a full-time position in the USA with extensive travel to client sites.
 
 
The Role:
 
Provide technical expertise in the presales cycle by identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements.
 
Develop written business and technical requirements, and prepare functional specifications for ME development work
 
Drive ME development, configuration, project management, and governance activities as assigned.
 
Configure SAP ME modules independently and IDOC processing in ECC & SAPMEINT integration layer.
 
Develop and maintain interfaces that utilize communications protocol utilizing XML or EDI and ALE for data exchanges and Digital Certificates in a B2B environment.
 
Lead cross-functional teams to address business, systems issues, validation testing, and functional testing.
 
Create process flows and training documents to teach SAP ME to business users, and develop functional training to end users on newly implemented ME processes.
 
 
 
The Requirements:
 
University Degree coupled with 10+ years of consulting experience and 7+ years of experience implementing SAP ME with multiple full-cycle implementations on the shop floor (Automotive experience a plus).
 
Expertise in ME Site Setups, Shop floor master data, Shop Floor execution and tracking, SAP ME ERP integration (SAP MEINT), PODs, Data collection (DC), Genealogy, Returns management, Site to Site transfer etc.
 
Knowledge of integration points of SAP ME to other SAP components like PP, MM, FI, CO, MII and PCo.
 
Familiarity with table structures, configuration screens, and integration configuration of SAP ME and experience with Industrial Protocols such as OPC and Modbus, for integration with SAP ME/MII via PCo.
 
Understanding of SAP Production Planning, Production master data, MRP process and Shop floor order creation and tracking and high-level understanding of PP, QM, MM/IM.
 
Skillful in OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and how to implement it in SAP MEE or SAP MII.
 
Evaluate, recognize need and establish change initiatives to meet business/technical needs.
 
Define systems strategy, developing systems requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.
 
Self-motivated and capable of working under minimal supervision with strong organization, and time management skills.
 
Strong leadership abilities, effective written and verbal communication skills with technical and business users and ability to guide the customer in areas of system enhancement or new projects.
