Property Project Manager
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our Property team, the role is field based but you will be required to attend our Head Office in Cardiff a minimum of two days a week.
The purpose of the role is to project manage the entire process of shopfitting of our new stores from inception, to site survey and planning, obtaining competitive tenders from contractors, managing capital budgets and cost control to working with retail colleagues to ensure a fantastic looking product and successful store opening. This role encompasses new store openings in a variety of shopping locations throughout England and Wales.
Responsibilities / Objectives:
1.Visit sites the business is considering to evaluate challenges to new store opening and capital budgets.
2.Liase with architects, agents, acquisition surveyors and retail colleagues to agree optimum store layout, finishes and any necessary enabling works.
3.Tender shopfitting works in accordance with strict company guidelines.
4.Instruction of architects for any necessary planning or other approvals required.
5.Instruction of contractor and monitoring of shop-fitting to ensure maximum value to the business, maintenance of the capital budget and opening of the store to agreed specification and timescale.
6.Management of any snagging items post store opening in a quick and efficient manner.
7.Structured meetings with colleagues to update them on progress in the new store opening programme
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience project managing new store openings for a retailer.
