Chronos Consulting’s client is an international food ingredient company (chocolate and cocoa). We are seeking a Sr. Global Account Manager to lead the commercial growth ambitions for a key global CPG account. This role is based in Chicago, IL with frequent travel in the USA and Mexico. Fluency in Spanish is essential.
The Role:
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, you will:
Deliver annual objectives for growth, profitability and share of wallet, and oversee the development and execution of business strategies to drive new business/projects
Represent the entire range of company products (chocolate, compounds, and cocoa) and services to the customer set, while also leading the customer account planning activities
Drive portfolio growth, R&D development ambitions (including new products seeded for development), and management of the other scope of services offered (technical services, supply chain/planning, marketing, etc.)
Work within a cross functional team environment to achieve objectives, and be responsible for directing activities for indirect reports within the scope of the account’s functional activities
Lead the development and execution of account strategies, annual strategic account review process working closely with regional business and functional leaders to drive account deliverables
Develop and nurture appropriate senior level relationships within customer to support account development, as well as ensure alignment and support for the global key account program
The Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (MBA preferred) coupled with 8-12+ years of direct sales/commercial account management experience in food or a related industry
Direct sales experience in developing account relationships with strategic customers; demonstrated results in growing business and driving strategic partnership value while delivering margin growth
Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills and ability to interface with various levels of the customer’s procurement organization cross functional staff and leadership
Independence, team player mentality, and an effective contributor to the sales team
Fluent Spanish language is a must and willingness to travel 50% both domestic and internationally
