The team and the role
The successful candidate will work as part of our experienced team to design and deliver geo-environmental and geotechnical consultancy support to a range of clients including property developers, agents, planners, commercial and residential developers, amongst others. You will be responsible for assisting in the design and management of geotechnical and/or geo-environmental assignments including (but not limited to): desk studies, ground investigations (factual and interpretative), human health, groundwater and gas risk assessments and preparation of Remediation Method Statements.
Good interpersonal skills and the willingness to work as part of a vibrant and fast-paced team are essential for this role. At times and particularly when undertaking site works, you will also need to be a pro-active and independent thinker to overcome some of the inevitable challenges that the role will bring.

The person
You will hold a BEng, BSc or higher technical qualification in a relevant subject (geology, civil engineering, environmental science etc.) and preferably between six and 12 months’ relevant work experience.
The role will be varied and involve site-based fieldwork as well as office-based reporting. The successful candidate should demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills combined with good analysis and technical capability in MS Word and MS Excel. Experience of soil logging to BS:EN 5930, use of AutoCAD and/or modelling software would also be desirable.
