Our Client is a fashion family value retailer, a part of A Large Group, which currently has 495 stores across the UK. The group currently employs over 10,000 people across all brands, which also includes young fashion retailer.
We are looking for someone with proven estates experience to lead a team of Estates Managers and to take day-to-day responsibility for the management of the company's property portfolio. You will be tasked with ensuring property costs are mitigated and maximising the value of existing assets.
As the Head of Estates you will be managing the Estates Manager to ensure that business objectives are met while preparing Board papers to present to senior managers and the Board Directors
Co-ordinate key lease events and allocate appropriately
To complete from inception to completion rent reviews and lease renewals
To ensure any disputes between Landlords and Tenants are resolved promptly with the minimum disruption and cost to the business
To take responsibility for securing refunds or over payments from third parties due to the company
To resolve operational problems for stores quickly and efficiently with the minimum disruption and cost to business
To be able to make and implement own decisions, balancing risks against benefits for the Company's long term financial objectives
To understand the commercial objectives of the company and to have a flexible approach to hours and a willingness to travel in the UK
Checking invoices from Landlords to ensure accuracy and challenging where appropriate control of payment of invoices
To take overall responsibility for the management of the property database
To protect business interests
Any other ad-hoc duties as required
